Located in the heart of New York’s Financial District, this project transforms a historic former bank on Broad Street into a dual-concept dining destination. The restaurant unfolds across two levels: an upstairs Asian fusion dining room and a downstairs speakeasy-style bar and restaurant.
The original bank vault in the basement was reimagined as the focal bar, creating a dramatic and immersive experience that anchors the speakeasy concept. To align with the building’s history and the neighborhood’s timeless character, the design integrates blackened steel detailing at the upstairs bar and preserves the old New York bar atmosphere, blending contemporary refinement with classic grit.
Balancing adaptive reuse with a layered hospitality program, the project offers a unique duality: refined Asian fusion dining above and a hidden, intimate bar below. Together, these spaces celebrate the architectural legacy of FiDi while contributing to its vibrant food and nightlife culture.
